Sharing content that is true to the rangatahi Māori experience is so important to us! Which is why TM have employed our expert rangatahi communications team, ‘Pakaru Pānui’, to lead all of our online community engagement.
Pakaru Pānui, meaning “breaking news,” translates rangahau (research) and important kaupapa into accessible, rangatahi-friendly formats such as TikTok videos, photography, short films, digital storytelling, and our recently established podcast, Why Should We Give a F#k?*, where rangatahi explore issues with experts and unpack why they matter.
They also report on local events, most recently Ahuriri Pā Warz and run a segment called “Caus Some Heroes…” highlighting everyday local heroes who often go unnoticed.
If you have any feedback on how our website or social media content could be improved or have an event you would like our team to cover, please contact our friendly Pakaru Panui team – pakarupanui@toimatarua.co.nz
